Rear bumper light

ive started to smooth my boot out and i have put my registration plate on the bottom part of the bumper, my mot is in a few weeks and i need a light above the plate
i just want to know if this would work

but first is the rear bumper filled or is it hollow?

i was thinking of getting the same sort of light which is on the top of the rear bumper and move the wiring to the new position so that the light will work and light up my plate
would this work?

any other ideas would be great thanks
