Radio not working - aerial into system?

When I bought the car the radio didn't work. Not the whole head unit, just the radio. The previous owner said it "needed a £5 valve or something".

Took the system out and it seems like the aerial simple isn't plugged in.


The thing I'm holding is similar to this:


I need a plug or something so that the aerial will go into the system (I assume the port photographed is where it goes, it looks like it), as a) it doesn't fit in and b) it's not long enough.

What do I need, and where can I get one?

Your missing a female ended pin, that has a hole where your adaptor plugs in.

It shouldnt be too short, trace it back and see if you can pull some excess through..
