Problem with revs

does anyone no why my Revs keep droping?

lwhen im sat clutch down in gear the revs bounce up and down and go well below 1000RPM and then shoots back up again. some times it will carry on doing this for some time, other times it will just stall unless i feather the revs.

any help wud be great!!

Search 'irratic revs' on the mk4 section. It could be one of many things but fear not, it could be a minor issue

Throttle body (cracked, leaking or needs cleaning)
temp sendor
Idle control valve
bad earth wiring
