Best way to remove side strips?
hey folks as the title says, whats the best way to remove the side strips. I'm going to sand and spray them this weekend.
Re: Best way to remove side strips?
The easiest way I found to remove side strips, was to slot a piece of string behind the strip and work your way along in a up and down sawing motion. The strips have positioning lugs on them which slot into holes in the door, so do this process slowly as not to damage the lugs.

Re: Best way to remove side strips?
can you use the same method on the bumper strips aswell? what are you using to spray them if u dont mind me asking? just rattle cans? cheers, James

Front and rear bumper strips are clipped into place, whereas the sides are stuck on and located into holes using lugs. Bumper strips are a b**ch to get off, by the way.

yep just rattle cans...spent too much money on getting the front repaired to have them sprayed any other way lol.
