Protection Light

Post by stuart1903 »

Installed my subs, amp and 6x9s finally after a bit of a wait after a small accident... ran them until wednesday till they didn't work on the way home from work and the protection light is on. Fiddled about with the cables and the ground cable seems to be the problem. regrounded it and changed the ring terminal but its still not working. Any ideas.

Yep. Works sometimes when I move about the ground cable but not for very long.

Secured onto the screw which holds the black plastic trim next to the parcel shelf on, been sanded down to the bare metal and attached with a ring terminal which I've changed. Checked all the attachments to the amp so any more ideas.

Try grounding it on the factory ground point behind the passenger side shelf at the back. Its a proper mount too, and should be pukka if its a grounding issue.
