Starting Problems

Got a problem with my polo when i try to start it. Sometimes it just doesn't want to start and i have to keep trying for 5minz till it finally fires up! Also the temperature needle stays at 60 then shoots up to 90 in a second! So am i right in guessing that its the temperature sensor at fault? Also does any1 have any pictures of the temperature sensor, and where it is located in the engine bay so i can replace it asap?

Yep, its defo temp sensor mate, part is no more then 20quid!
