those green wheels look awesome! get them done emma.

don't agree with the green vw badge, plate surround and red piping though. i think it's overkill.

just the green 'i' and the wheels would be perfect IMO, and black calipers 8)

Emma... Im guessing the centres are powdercoated in green... but are the edges polished bare aluminium or powdercoated silver?

Tegwin think you're getting mixed up - Those green wheels aren't mine they're N3_OLP's .. So I wouldn't know. Think when I get mine done I'll either go with a polished rim or a black rim, not sure yet.

Few things have gone on this week..
Drivers stubby mirror arrived from German eBay on Wednesday.. Only cost about £35 including postage, steal. So as impatient as I am, as soon as it came I struggled to put it on.
Took me agges to take the door card off as shown below, so I sulked, got mad with myself, went round my sisters so her and her boyfriend could help me out.

Comparing with my old cracked big silver mirror

Door card off, and old mirror off,

New stubby on minus the glass & cap...

Stubby fully on

Finitooo...

Thursday, I decided I would have a bash at spraying the caps myself. Bought some more primer, Skoda Black magic and lacquer from Halfords

and voilaaaaa..

Also got my sticker made up too by First Image. Top job

After someone knicked my aerial , a group buy had came up on ClubLupo for stubby aerials - £10 posted which wasn't too bad. Before this arrived though, I had a replcaement one given to me - Cheers Antony. Stubby one arrived this morning.. Whoop

No pics of it on the car though, gonna put some glue on it or sumet so that no chav can nick this one!

And that's it... Have no idea what to do next

Good stuff! So far I have been very fortunate and never had an aerial stolen from atop my Polo... *touch wood* :)

How did you get on with adjusting the mirror to be able to see out properly? I found it took me a while to get used to not having that blind spot part, can sometimes be a minor pain-in-the-arse on the motorway!

Cheers

Only took about a day of getting used to. I do a fair amount of driving and to be honest it doesn't bother me now, can still see a fair bit. Haven't been on the motorway yet though..

To be perfectly honest, I used a knife to prize it off. I did mark the mirror cap but when i sanded it down the mark went away. Took me a while to get it off mind - Need alot of patience, which I definately haven't got, I nearly gave up. They're just clipped in like the front VW badge is in the grill. Keep trying, don't think there's any possibility that it can snap, unless you are really rough with it.

Thanks.
I ordered the mirror on Sunday, and it arrived on Wednesday last week. I got an email off paypal, and of the seller saying that I had won the item and it also said 'We always try hard to deliver fast.'
