it was my 21st on wednesday there and my girlfriend got me a private reg. :D
so after work to day went up to glasgow to the DVLA and got the stuff done for my plate to go on the car.
got back down the road phoned my insurance and told them.
then i put some temp plates on.pressed plates should be on there way.
one wee pic :lol:

Hey ryandel,

I was wondering mate whether pressed plates are illegal? I've seen they can be made on eBay but are they okay for MOT or road legal? Was thinking about getting mine done too.

had pressed plates on mine for 3 years now, never had any trouble with the police, but i always change them at MOT time just incase they dont pass the car!

Me to lol. Got warned many times, never by a traffic cop tho. Finally got a £60 quid fine, and the copper took pics of my car with the plates on and submitted them to the courts for a summens :S lol...Never heard anything else on it tho, yet :S But sayin that tho, i had them on mine for like year and a half until they started botherin me.

I always thought that there were legal and illegal pressed plates? i thought you could get DVLA approved ones.
