can i run 225/40/16 on my polo gti?
these tyres would be going onto the stock gti rims

why would you like to put 225 tyre?put 215/40 instead; that will fit

i can get a set of Yokohama tyres in that size 225/40/16 for a very good price thats the only reason why.

They should fit but your speedo will be out by about 3%

and the extra width will make you rub like a b***h, can you even fit a 225 to a 6.5j wheel, may be too wide

Could be more than that I ran stock 185/60*14's and changed to 205/45*16's so when I am showing 30 on the clock I am doing 28 in reality.

ive got 195/45 on a 16x6.5 and the tyre is kinda flush to the rim.
