Best look out for some OEM discs and pads mate for under 200, anything uprated like Tarox and Black Diamond would be over 200 i think :(

Yeah Tarox and Black Diamond come in at just under £200 for just the disks :(. AwesomeGTi have a special price on ZeroSixty brakes at the minute, supposed to be decent brakes, they're £170 iirc for the disks. Expensive stuff :(

They weren't 312mm disks though were they mate? The disks in that size are more than £160 on their own, pads excluded!

i have a tarox sport japan / strada pads setup front and back and they are extremely good, super efficient, after driving another gti thats been 312 mm converted with standard oem stuff the difference is there again, like standard stuff you dont need to get any heat in them to get them to work straight away, more sharp and just refuse to fade even under continuing extreme braking, however ill be honest its not often, but in some conditions they do squeal a bit due to their material

but it all comes down to what you want,

i chose the best i could afford, because for me, in an emergency, you only get 1 shot at saving yourself, and brakes can save your life
