Cheers for the help I want to keep the hydrolic clutch as its much smoother that the cable operated cutch because my wife has a mk 4 1.6 golf and the clutch is loads better. Also the engine coming out is only a 1 litre and the ratios in the 1 litre gearbox are far to long as its generally designed for old ladies shopping trips to Asda and not for stonking 1/4 mile times.
The Brake and clucth master cylinder problem has also been solved as I going to use the complete pedal box from a passat which has twin bias pumps on the brake pedal assembly illiminating the vacuum servo unit behind the master cylinder so there should be enough room for the Golf master cyclinder it is OE position.
Ill keep you posted.
