Hi guys, new to the forum (w00p!)
As titled, I was wondering whether VW made a 1.0 Single Point Injection engine for the Mk4 6N. I noticed that there are two types of 1.0 engines in Mk4s; a 999cc and 1043cc.. and the 1043cc (AEV code) has the same 'Bosch Mono-Motronic' injection system that the 1.3 SPI engine (ADX code) has.
I am wondering because I have a 1.3 SPI engine being unused, would this be able to fit into an ex-1.0 SPI Polo? ie - just hook up the 1.3 block, head and gearbox up to the 1.0 inlet manifold and injection system and just plug all the 1.0 sensors into the 1.3 engine block?
Would be grateful if anyone can confirm this for me! Thanks in advance, Chris
