Remote locking system?

Have a 51 1.4 SE polo with central locking... drivers door beginning to develop lock issue and may need replacing soon ... Having sorted the lock on my R reg polo previous I don't want to have to take the lock apart again etc so thought a better solution might be just to fit a remote locking system to save more wear and tear on the lock itself.. would this work? If so what kit would people reccomend?

ive got a similar problem i have a W reg se and my passenger side barrel seized and wont work.
the other day my drivers side started going stiff. but my boyfriend gave it a grease and its working fine again.

as for remote central locking yeah getting remote central locking will help save your barrels its the same idea ive had...just not got round to doing it yet lol
as for which is best i cant quite remember what was suggested to me
i know Meta was deffinatly one suggestion. i had one on one of my old cars and my boyfriend had it on his old 6n
