HIDS and my dilemma

Post by DF:FD »

Right well TONIGHT! i am going to buy a set of hids from hids4u.co.uk

Now my dilema is what hids to get i fill out the chart

manufacturer
model
year

(geting 6000k)

and it takes me to the H7 35w ultimate and the cost is £195.73

Now my cuz however has a golf and is also geting his set today and said all i need is the h7 from the 1st catagory with the honda civic on the front 35w pro plus h7

What is the difference?????

Also i have a discount code "toyota pro" which takes off £48 off the bill of the ultimate catagory.

Now has anyone on this forum bought hids from them which catagory etc and are they good? lol i need recomendations :D

Also looking for LEDS for my interior and by my rear numberplate

iv been told on the other polo forum the interiour is a 37mm led such as this 1
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/37mm-leds-fe ... -1496.html

and the numberplate ones are 42mm such as
http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/42mm-leds-fe ... -1487.html

am i correct?? and would people recomend the cool white or the cool blue...think the blue would look nice with my hids dont you aggree?? reply please and let me know i want to buy them all today :D :D

I got the Ultimate kit from hids4u a year and a half ago and never had any problems. Am sure mines are 55W tho not 35W. Use the search regarding the size of the LED bulbs.

OoooOo im sure ur running angel eyes. with them the standard H7 bulb doesnt really fit you need a slightly thinner version as we tried them in my brothers car. he had standard H7 so we jus sanded down the plastic around the bulb that didnt fit n made it fit :D HID's for you are a bit expensive might aswel just buy them from ebay for £40 , ive sin the HID4U kit n they look the same to me. You also get 2 Years warranty if they go so there not that bad(ebay ones). ive had 3 sets on all my polos and they work for me, i have 10 000k in at the momment  if u want a nice ice bluey go for 8000 and if your a lil gurly like the rest of the people with them on go for 6000k :P

you'll most probably need the ultimate kit cause the VAG computer in the cars younger than about 05 ish causes problems. this can be fixed with a set of resistors but still the ultimate ones work the best.

My 9n has the Prokit. HIDS4U say anything over 03 needs the ultimate kit, but i got the pro kit. The only thing is they interfere a little bit with the radio (casue crackling).

I don't think i could go back to standard halogen bulbs now after having HID's. They make such a difference.
