how much does a new clutch cost?

on average? because today whilst driving i heard weird noises ten it got worse and later found out it will be clutch and asked more people and they say thats the problem so just wundering how much itl cost :)

I paid 150 quid incl VAT in the Netherlands, with discount. Original price was 210 pounds (250 euro). This was for a 6N SDI.

Edit: changed it myself, so no labour in prices above.

Around £200 normally. Depends on the price of the clutch kit though. It should be around 3 hours labour.

what engine is it for? for my 1.4 8v, its 125 quid for a black diamond high clamp pressure clutch, check out performace vw magazine for website...not including labour

That's just going on a estimate for mark 4-5 Polo. Clutch kit will cost around £100, would probably take about 3-4 hours, standard hourly charge for labour is £30-40.

yeah true didnt put labour into account, as i can do it myself, but yeah obviously more with labour :)
