Changing Manifold On Polo?
How much of a job is it to change the manifold on the polo. What requires to be taken out etc to get in?
Also what one of these would fit the polo?

Re: Changing Manifold On Polo?
Wow they're pretty cheap, what's the benefit of these? Power gains?

Re: Changing Manifold On Polo?
Much more free flowing than standard manifold. Would like to see gains in bhp and torque with it fitted, dont know exact numbers but maybe 7 - 10 bhp?

Re: Changing Manifold On Polo?
c what they say and maybe i b up for that
Re: Changing Manifold On Polo?
That'd be great Alex! Maybe ask about a price for 5 and a price for 10?
Only problem is, if we need the transverse one, they've sold out of them and it says they don't know when they'll get any more
But would be appreciated if you give them a call

MANIFOLD UPDATE
Right guys,
I have been in touch with my friend (through my work) at Top Gear Stockport regarding the transverse manifolds for our cars. These are a company i deal with through work anyways but they are also one of the main distributers of the THS Motorsport products. He says, and i quote...."they are s**t!" He said that they have sold alot of these manifolds and over half of them have been returned due to "cracking and leaking". I took his advice on this as he is in to his dubs also and on top of this he actually bought a THS manifold and even his split, even when the car was rolling roaded it made no power gains what so ever. He did say he could do us a great price on these but he would not reccomend it. (£90ish). Not to sound arogant or stuck up my own arse here but....i have spent alot of time, effort and good money on my car and i will not fit it with something cheap, nasty or inferior. But we have othere options... i also called JBS a more reputable company regarding dub tuning. He said that they are awaiting on a shippment of manifolds which he promised would fit our polo's as apparently there has been big demand for them....GREAT NEWS!.....but they retail at £450. He said he could do us some form of deal but its not going to be under £400. I know that this seems alot but if its garenteed a few horses and it looks good then i personally would pay the extra. I am awaiting to hear back from them with prices and will update ASAP. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

Re: Changing Manifold On Polo?
That's a shame about the THS ones
Oh well, like yourself, i wouldn't want to put cheap s**t on my car!
£400 sounds abit expensive but will have to see nearer the time!
Thanks for doing some research

Re: Changing Manifold On Polo?
I wouldnt bother guys, I have seen plenty of 1.8T's running huge power on the standard manifold.
Its really not worth it unless you intend on changing everthing else to make it worth while.

Re: Changing Manifold On Polo?
Yeah he probably has a point....would look good under the hood though!
JBS can do this for us at £380.....looks a good bit of kit to be fair.
