does n e one know wat the biggest engine size u can put in to a polo without doing n e work is?
i have a 2000 x reg 1 litre and was thinking of more speed. was thinking its gonna be a 1.4 16v engine. dont wanna do loads of work just the easiest engine swap possible.

Not seen a 1.0 to 1.4 conversion before but it should be a straight fit.
The 1.4 16V 100BHP engines are very rare though so you might have a little difficulty finding one.
They fitted them to several VAG cars though including the Polo, Lupo, Fabia MK1, Ibiza etc
Have you thought about the 1.6 16V GTI engine? or will that cause you problems with Insurance

its not the insurance im bothered about its the general cost of getting a new engine put in. would wanna get all the body work done first. so basically gotta find a new job first with loads of money. thats y i figured if i went for just the engine wouldnt have to worry abotu the engine breaks driveshafts or n e thing like that.
