I use plain old regular unleaded but my boss reckons I should get onto this BP ultimate - how much more is it per litre?

its about 4 pence more a litre i think. worth it though, makes the engine quieter too! and smoother through the revs.

I run Optimax in my GTi, Tried BP Ultimate for a few tanks but didn't find the car ran as nice, so went back to the Optimax, shame really as my nearest Shell garage is about a 15 minute drive away!

i suppose most engines may be set up differently a bit so different fuels agree with different cars.

Definately depends on engine. I put Optimax in my old 1.1 Fiat Cinq and it made a massive difference, made it run much so much smoother and generally better. My dad tried it in his BMW 318 and didn't notice any difference. Haven't tried it in the Polo yet, cos there aren't any Shell garages close to me. If you rekon its good though, I'll try it out.

Cool, I'll try it out, as I have a local BP. Tesco fuel is what I normally use 'cos it's cheap and I get points (and I'm broke).
