Wattage Gauge

Post by 5509433 »

Hi, i was wondering is there was such a thing as a wattage gauge?

The reason i ask, it that it wuld be help ful with the car stereo.

The more watts (the higher the volume), the more likely you are to blow your speakers.

Most people know the max and RMS wattage of there speakers.

So, if there were some kind of gauge, then you would be able to turn your music up as loud as you like, knowing that you are not running the risk of blowing up your speakers!

I know there are voltage gauges but im not sure that would work the same.

your wattage or loudness of you stereo is as follows..... a 10 watt stereo will only be 1/2 as loud as a 100 watt stereo so your hundred watt stereo won't be as good as you may think only you will hear more of the detail having more power at lower volumes.

Regards a meter some graphic equalizers years a go had a level meter in decibels never seen a wattage meter.
