Request - Fitting a GTI Splitter to a normal 6n2

Hey sorry if theres already info floating around but i couldnt find anything on it.
I really like the look of the bigger GTI splitters rather then the normal little one on the 6n2.

Previously in my little thread about my SE 6n2 I asked if they deffinant fit, and if any changes need to be made to get the gti splitter to fit as I wasnt 100% sure.
Gary Gee kindly replied saying that they do fit. which is great put my worries to rest as I know hes done it on his car so its deffinatly possible.

However I need a little help.
Has anyone got any photos and a bit of a guide that will help me out a bit?
all the screws are really well hidden and clips and everything. and i dont want to go breaking anything.
any info would be great from certain bits to look out for, photos of the splitters off and on, and even down to what sort of screwdriver I need to steal from my boyfriends tool box lol.
I know its probably all really easy stuff. but when it comes to cars i dont really like fidderling around with something im unsure of. I would hate to go and do something completely wrong.


also the splitter will just fit on on its own with out that under tray bit right? because looking under my boyfriends GTI theres lots of bits all connected.

I would suggest trying to pry the clips off your original splitter first (i've only ever put on a 6n2 GTi splitter onto my 6n which involved cutting the clips off), try to press the clips out first before going all in with any destructive method! If I remember correctly, you would have to remove the clips out of the slots in the bumper, but I have a feeling that it is slightly off center and has to be pushed to a certain direction to get it off. Could be wrong though! To fit the 6n2 GTi splitter to yours, it will just push in via the clips. Where abouts in Worcestershire are you?

i think you can keep the under tray for the engine aswell as fit the splitter i'm sure you can anyone back this up raz will know he's done it to his but i'm still looking for one might go to main dealer to see if there prices worth having.
