just wondering wat i could do to my new car to make it that bit more faster....e.g exhaust and engine upgrades. ive bin told i shud get a cold air intake filter or something. obviously dont no tooo much bout vw engines and wat can be done to them. wanted to get a few idea's of ppl, n raise the bhp by 50 or more if possible...cheerz

First of all your in the wrong section, this is for the MK5/6N2 models.

You wont achieve 50 BHP or more without a turbo or supercharger. NOS would also work

Exhaust, Manifold, induction kit, cams & re-map might give you an extra 35-40BHP if your lucky.

All of the above will cost a small fortune for very little gain. Best to focus on the exterior and interior rather than the engine performance.

On this engine you will be lucky to get an extra 10bhp even with a remap.

Save your money and drop a 20v in it in a couple of years

have you thought about eaton supercharging it? its costly but iv seen a lupo 1.4 100 bhp with the charger with 180bhp
