Re: 16" alloys on a 6n2 polo?
wrong section mate, should be under MKV we're the 6n's awre 'ere
im sure someone will re direct you
but to sorta answer ur question i imagine it wouldnt rub on flat roads, ie not many potholes, but you know wat the streets are like.
as the 6n2 have very slightly bigger arches i think it should be fine, ur MKV buddies will confirm though hopefully.

Your alloys shouldn't rub with the arches on 30mm. 30mm isn't even low on polo. You should be fine with a 40 profile. Just make sure the ofsets on the alloys are correct. Good luck with your plans bud.

Yeh those wheels shouldn't scrub that much.

i love that photo haha but yes, the 16"s fit perfectly on the 40-45mm drop I have on mine - never scrubbed once!

Re: 16" alloys on a 6n2 polo?
It did come with 15" BBS RX2s, the 16s were an option on select golf mk3 and early mk4 cabriolets, and I managed to get my hands on a set.
They pop up on the forum from time to time, and ebay is sometimes a goodun, but they are very rare these days!

There's your answer above as some one kindly posted a picture you can see there is a lot of clearance so you don't have much to worry about.
Good luck with the drop mate. Hope it goes well for you. If you don't know how to do the springs pm me I'll write you a quick guide.

Re: 16" alloys on a 6n2 polo?
Personally I think the borbet As wouldn't look all that on there. Reason being borbet As only look good when they have a big dish. I.e 9J gives them a decent dish. The 7.5j doesn't have much dish so it just looks like ugly 5 spokes. Lets face it Borbet As are ugly alloys we only buy them because of the deep dish. That's when they look good apart from that in my opinion I think they are pretty much crap.Jordy-6n2 wrote:thanks for all the help guys !

I'd suggest you go for some BBS or image split rims. They look nice. The image one's will most probably cost you more than 5 ton but they look awesome. A friend of mine has them on his VR6 they are stunning alloys. How ever if you live in area with crap roads they tend to buckle on the inside if the profile is too low.
Any more info needed just ask mate. More than happy to help.
