I had to change the sump pan on my sons car Saturday and noticed a few small bits of plastic in the bottom of the old sump when I took it off. On looking up into the engine there is a plastic part called (by Haynes manual) an 'oil baffle'. This appeared to be in a very brittle condition with at least one hole in it.
What I want to know is if this part is an emergency replacement, (if in this state), or can it wait until the next oil change?
Hope someone can enlighten me.
Thanx
