Lambda sensor again..

Hi, I have the problem that's very common in these Polos. I have 1.0 MPI polo and my check engine light came on. I checked that on vag-com. Sonda lambda... I have changed the one u can access after opening the bonnet, unfortunately it didn't help, the light came on again... I think it might be the second sensor after the catalyst. Has anyone changed that before in a polo like this? I want to find out if it's 4 or 5 wires... I don't want to buy a wrong one.
Secondly, is there much hassle with changing it? Or it might be a different fault, maybe someone had that and fixed it in a different way, help please... I have checked that with vag-com, I get 2 errors:
slow response,
Sonda heater error malfunction~~
16525 and 16523
any suggestions? I go crazy with them...

normally it will say BANK 1 or BANK 2 for which lambda sensor it is, normally it is the front one that packs in!

ok I scanned it again:
2 faults shown:
16525 (p0141) o2 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 1-sensor 2)
intermittent
16523 (po139) o2 sensor circuit slow response (bank 1 sensor 2)
intermittent

so it's the 2nd sensor. I am going to buy an universal one but I need to know how many wires it has.

i wouldnt get a universal one, i would get a genuine one or a genuine specific one matey, sometimes they dont like them, iam on my 5th lambda sensor the 5th one being the genuine one!

Yes but Im currently short on money and I found Bosh sensor for about 60 pounds so Is it 4 or 5 wires?

pretty sure there 5 wires but dont count me on that, the front one is 4 wires but ive never had to touch my rear sensor

I think if your going to change it, do it properly. the cheaper one is only likely to pack in then you'll have to buy another. In which time you may have bought one genuine decent one, rather than two cheap ones.

i'd get your wiring sorted first if there's a wiring fault there's going to be a fault from sensor to but it might not be the sensor could just be the wiring and it's saying the sensors faulty to but might not be getting right signal cuz of the wiring, noticed any diff with the car i.e mpg or smoke.

nothing, its driving perfectly, I might get a genuine one. Where will I get one and what kind? I know nothing about these...
