Good choice. That should spool quick. A 0.82 3071R was making 8psi @ 3200rpm on my mate's Evo 9, but that engine does flow lots.yorks GT TDI wrote:going with a GT3071R but 0.64 hot and 3inch inlet to help with the spool as its still a 1.8
Yeah I've got the same issue. 9lb Cromoly flywheel with Helix clutch. Judders a bit pulling away. Can live with it though.yorks GT TDI wrote:it has a very small amount of chatter on the spec but this is due to removing the std flywheel
The O2M has gears twice the size of the 02A/J so you're doing well to break that. Do you do 1/4 launching with slicks?ceedubya wrote:i have broken both with less power in my polo (373bhp/350lb/ft)but I could pop in an 02M from a Leon though..... hmmmm.
let me know what the SPEC clutch is like as I've had trouble with yank clutches chattering really badly in the past.
o2m boxes aint that tough
Maybe the 6 pot O2Ms are stronger because I've seen 500whp/tq R32 turbos lay down the power repeatedly with no gear strippage.
Strange it went though. I've been putting 400hp/tq through the 02A in my Corrado daily for 2 years and it's holding fine. Getting clattery mind, but holding
Oh well, maybe I'll rethink the 02M conversion then and maybes go with an SQS gearset instead.
