How can you adapt Mrk 3 door cards for speakers?

Post by Karl_CLCoupe »

I have seen people adapt the door cards to take speakers, but don't have a clue how to. Pressumably the first thing to come off is the door pocket, but where you go from there I don't know. I was wondering how its done?

...or if you're a cheapskate like me who doesn't want to spend £180 (!) on a place to screw a pair of speakers into, cut a ring of MDF the same size as the speaker, cut the back of it to a shape which will fit into your door card, cut a hole in the door card for the back of the speaker into, attach the MDF ring to your door card and your speaker to the MDF ring.

Doesn't look quite as good, but honestly, it's just not worth paying that much for something which would do the same job and look slightly smarter..
