Milltek exhaust fitting

Post by m4tty »

I fitted a Milltek (non res, turbo back) to my GTi today, which went fine until i fitted the back box....for some reason when fitted the tailpipes didn't sit central and sit so far over that its just started to melt the bumper. Has anybody had this problem before and no any solutions?

Thanks in advance

Sort of yeah.....mine actually sat to high and started to melt the bumper at the top untill i put some form of heat proof fabric there.

My Miltek was one of the so called "new revised" version as well..........not just me then lol

mine was getting there but a cable tie on the hanger sorted it!

ive actually called milltek about it as mine was the development car and they told me to keep an eye on it to see if it gets any worse...

mine actually hangs too low and rattles against the chassis... anyone have that problem too?! lol

All sorted now, "adjusted" the holes on the bracket and a few cable ties later and jobs a good 'un!
