Not sure how this is possible, the dealer replaced the starter motor about 3 weeks or so ago, and it is failing again! (i.e. not disengaging on time).
So for 3 weeks it was lovely and quiet during the starting, and now it is back to the noisy starting again. Could there be something that is actually killing the startmotor?

maybe it was replaced with a second hand one ?, when my gearbox went earlier in the year i replaced it with a second hand one and a month later that one went lol so i just had that one refurbed,
personsally id take it back again, and get them to supply a courtesy car untill its fixed properly

Its possible your ignition switch is sticking in the start position. Get it checked when they have a look.

Yes, have called them and they will provide a car. Unfortunately, this dealer is an hours drive away so it takes an hour to get there, pick up the courtesy car and drive back straight away again, and the same for collection again.
