remapped my car today, (6n with 6n2 GTi engine etc), roling road standard was 125bhp, and after the map was 131.6bhp, this is with a fault from the pre cat lambda probe, 95 octane fuel, and a standard 1.4 8v exhaust from cat back, should see more of a gain with a new lambda probe and a Gti exhaust, whats
other peoples experience?
cant do anything mapping/chip changing wise privately im afraid but might be able to sort a discount if theres a few intreasted, also weve had 2xlupo GTi's recently made 135bhp stock and around 145-147 after check next months (poss this months) GOLF+ with the mags own silver lupo think her names sarah, im prob in a few pics theres a few details in that
Im sure you'd get alot of interest too mate.I think ive seen that Deisel at Prept possibly Trotta is it Platinum Grey?.With odd coloured engine bay bits like lumo Yellow?.
personall i think thats a crap increase, i got told on my 1.4 16v 75bhp that if i just got a remap it would take it up 5bhp so i would of expected abit more to be fair, pointless remapping a standard car anyway unless it has had to breathing mods etc etc
Right, as tim said its a stock GTi engine in a 6n and it made stock power, but after the map you can clearly see the gains across the rev range and this is with 95 octane fuel, a 1.4 8v exhaust which isnt even 1 1/2 inches, and also a faulty pre cat lambda probe, and as in one of my previous posts we have seen 12bhp on a lupo gti (same engine), so bepe 12bhp isnt bad on the 1.6 16v over 5bhp for a 1.4 16v?, the map is £299 and includes before and after rolling road runs, and a quick diagnostic check over
