improving 1.4 Polo 2002?

Hey,

Was just wondering if anyone could help me, is there is anyway of making my 1.4 polo faster? well no doubt there probably is but which would be the best way?

I have looked at remapping but am not sure if there are any good/ beneficial gains from this considering how exspensive it is. or would it be better to go down the new engine parts route?

If you have the 75bhp you can remap up to 105bhp but if you have the 100bhp you only get a 5bhp gain.

Realistically your not going to get much more from a 1.4

ahh right ok well i have 75 bhp so i will have a look at remapping as it seems a big enough gain.

is there anything that can be done to the engine which could increase the power? such as induction kits etc ?

No cant justify it for only a 5-10 bhp gain

u could chuck in cams, lightened pulleys, lightened flywheel induction kits, 4brach manifolds and full through exhaust... that and then remap it.. but i dont think u will get more than bout 110-115break max.. u mite aswel 20vt it (but that requires bout 6-8grand lol)
