Slammed My Polo - Now i have problems

Post by aza_028 »

I have slammed my 9n polo today

Changed the droplinks from standard ones to Ford Mondeo 2003 ones however now when i drive and brake the right hand side of the anti roll bar is scraping on the driveshaft

By changing the droplinks from standard to mondeo 2003 ones it is meant to solve this?

There is 1 and 1/2cm left of thread with the helpers out

What would be reccomended? change the droplinks? change the arb?

Answers ASAP please

Thanks

doing the drop links helps in most cases, but if your going excessivly low and removing the helpers and then still being near the end of the threaded part your not gonna cure it with just the links

your going to need a front arb with a bigger loop for the driveshaft, whiteline do a big loop arb for the front, this should help cure your problem

What would you guys reccomend going for 1st?

I am a broke student lol so £20 on mondeo drop links has now set me back, shall i go for the vmaxx links 1st? will that solve the problem? or will i still need the links and the new ARB?

Cheers

i would give the vmaxx ones a go! i am running my very low with the stock alloys and its on bags!
i got my vmaxx ones fitted last wednesday and have no problems.
a did think it was my driveshaft rubbing on the chassis tho!

LOL wrote on the wrong post.....

anyway are you sure you got the correct mondeo drop links because therse 2 one is a few mm smaller then the standard polo ones and one is about an inch shorter. slamming on coilovers usually still isnt that low so it shouldnt be hitting.

How was it lowered? Coilovers normally have a relocated top connection point to allow for the suspension to be lower than stock. On saying that, I'm running the Whiteline front ARB and don't seem to have this issue.
