Just for labour costs I'd reckon at least a grand if you got a full conversion done. You need fuel pumps, steering damper, brakes, wiring loom, engine, 'box, intercooler, real axle with integral anti-roll bar, 'charger etc. Plus the steering wheel, interior and clocks if you wanted to make a full conversion - and the wheels too.
With a conversion you also need to budget for a full service on the engine too - to be on the safe side I'd say you'd want a new cambelt and waterpump, fuel filter, plugs, leads and of course fresh oil, oil filter and coolant. You might need new gaskets for the inlet manifold, exhaust manifold and throttle body too - depending on how you get the parts off the donor car.
Basically, it's a lot of work - and if you're paying someone to do it you're looking at a large bill to get all the extra little bits done. If you're doing it yourself though, it's not so bad. Also bear in mind that insurance for an engine conversion is also more expensive!
