Forge Motorsport Split-R Dump Valves...?

Do any of you guys have one fitted or know anyone that has one? Im doing reading up on them but getting both good comments and bad ones to regarding warning lights showing....drops in boost etc.

Any help would be superb as im thinking of purchasing one.

whitepologti - chris i think his name was had one

he mentioned having some issues if set to dump the charge air, but worked fine if set as a normal recirc valve

maybe worth having a search see what comes up mate

If you get it set up correctly, i.e. enough boost being recirced to keep the ecu happy it will be fine, if not then it will think there is a boost leak. Better woth a Jetex open cone filter

Have ordered the slightly smaller 007PA in black with the adjustable vacume connection on top as mine seems to look like the boost pipe is under stretch and pressure. So that should cure that.

Its also alot smaller as my oo7 knocks on my forge strut brace which is annoying.

Not sure weather to get an open cone or not.....reasons......
1) Not sure weather it would actually increase bhp or cold air flow from heat soak.
2) Noise can be annoying depending on the cone.

Why cant someone make a proper enclosed induction kit for our cars.

I might do it myself and get the battery in the boot

i have a cone filter, a big K&N one, i got it off whitepologti

simply give it a wash and a dam good clean and its spot on, its significantly quieter than the piperx viper which i ran before it, it fits better too

its not noisy at all, more of a whistle/woosh hard under boost, which is cool as its different, can not be heard inside the car with the bonnet lining there, but can be heard outside a little bit

or remove the bonnet lining and its louder outside (obviously) and you can hear it inside too

i was considering getting a 90 degree silicone elbow off the maf and relocating it down near the gearbox as its cool there, and hear rises, so no worrys about heat soak too, and providing it is not located too low, then water hitting it will not be a problem either, the only downside is there would then be a 90 degree elbox thats gonna slow down the airflow, where now its straight in
