Gearknob problem!

Hello, I have removed the original gearknob on my GTI because I want to replace it with a bit stylish one! But how can I remove the leather cover from the original gearknob? It seems that is integrated in the knob itself? And my styling dealer only sels knobs alone! Without the leather cover!

Any ideas?

This is correct!

If you want to replace the knob you have to get a gator and knob combo to replace, did you find out the price of the original GTI knob?? I was quoted over Â£60 + vat from my local stealer!
