Anyone seen this...???

Post by Alex_White_Gti »

Hi guys,

Saw this on you tube and it pi***d me off a little bit lol
I and im sure most of you have wanted a proper induction kit for your car.

It looks like this guy has inverted his battry and fitted the induction kit I always wanted (CDA). Is this possible to do on ours as this is the one thing I want to do to really fish off the engine bay as im sure you guys do to. However I noticed they are Australian so wondered if there gtis were different to our ones under the bonnet.??

Here is the video…see what you think.

Cant get on youtube at work to have a look. But am assuming they have put the battery to the boot?

Cant imagine there would be any difference tho, right hand drive also.

No mate your not being thick. They have twisted the battery 90 degrees.

There are two ways you can do this move the battery to the boot or twist the battery then there is plenty of space to fit your CDA

So can you twist the batteries in our gtis then?...Or do we need additional brackets or something?

Would a slim battery help? Can't you get 1/2 size ones which are £££ but very powerful?

Thats looking nice mate.

Do you have a cold feed for that sitting there or is it ok? Did having the filter make much of a difference to you do you think?? Think i might go down the slimline batterey route and a cda induction.....just dont want to do all this work and not get much more out of it.

i had to do this to get a full 3" intake for the turbo cost £70 to move the battery for the box wire and connections will be getting a cold air feed not because it needs it just because i want it

Where can you get a BMC CDA for our car? or is it a case of just a 1.8T one? i cant seem to find them
To turn the batttery do you just drill new holes in the battery tray?
