Coilovers

Post by SlimDubs »

Hi, I'm looking to buy some coilovers from Ebay for my 96 1.4cl. To do this I'm searching 'vw polo 6n coilovers'. I really wanna get some that go 120mm (for obvious reasons :P ) but I've seen some sets that say 'Kit includes: 2 front full coilovers, 2 rear shocks & springs including height adjuster' does this mean the rear will go to 120mm as well even though its not a coilover. These are the cheaper ones, there are some more that are slightly more expensive that come with four full coilovers. I might just be bein stupid but does this make any difference? Has anyone else bought either of these from Ebay? Or a similar set? What would I be better off getting I want it slammed...

hey i bought a set from the tuningleader seller based in germany, but it was for my mk5 golf, does the job, not the top notch but for the money they are ace
as for the other company, i think its the same coils just a uk based version, ie so he bulk buys or discounts for mass buying

i would reccommend for the actual wanting your car low, but not for serious comfort, but as i can tell, once your down it wont be comfortable with many lowering kits
just get some nice cushioned seats ;) lol

hope this helps with your decision

Nice one cheers mate.
Don't have loads to spend so wanna do it as low n cheap as possible lol
You don't think the '2 front full coilovers, 2 rear shocks & springs including height adjuster' kit varies from the full coilover kit then? What was yours on the Golf?
Not overly fussed about the comfort I'm sure I'll get used to it n the missus will have to hold onto her boobs lol

the rears usually have adjusters anyway, varies from car to car though, so probs just a basic type up

and you could help her hold hers boobs down ;) lol :P
