What is the spark plug torque for the 1.2L AWY engine?

On a slightly related note, has anyone here got the Haynes Workshop Manual ( http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165616 ), and is it worth getting?

I've always tried to buy one of them as soon as it was available (for the Polo I even bought the Fabia one as it was published first!) - lots of people will say that they are crap - but they do provide you with a lot of info - including the spark plug torques! Maybe buy on line from Amazon or some other Etrader to save a bit of cash - unless you need it now.

I've got the haynes - it's worth getting. Saved me cursing when I found out that you have to twist the bulb holders on the Polo . Worth every penny.

What is the spark plug torque for the 1.2L AWY engine?

Haynes quotes 30Nm or 22lbf ft for the spark plug torques for both the 1.2 and 1.4 engines.

The number for the Haynes book is 4608

Saved me cursing when I found out that you have to twist the bulb holders on the Polo . Worth every penny.

Yes i wish i knew about that when i did the bulb on my friends car. After ages of fiddling i wrongly concluded the little screws obviously needed to be removed, at which point the bulb retainer spring catapulted everything into the engine bay. After dropping the screw several dozen times struggling to put it back together, I ended up lightly super glueing the screws onto the end of the torx socket, holding the plastic bits all together and compressing the spring with one hand while screwing the little b###ers back in with the other hand.

Once screwed tight i broke the glue seal by pushing the socket sideways. Its a really neat little trick for screwing screws back in when you havent got any room to hold them in place. The screw heads dont seem to have suffered much either, altho i made sure didnt cake them in glue.
