Saying as this is going to sting me a little (I'm a student! Show sympathy :( :( :D). . .I might go for the full hog and get the mirror cover as well which were £17 each on some site. .

A question is are these as easily replaceable as the bumper strips?

The wing mirror covers are quite thick and I'm thinking they might be impossible to replace without changing the glass and entire mechanism. Does anyone have any experience of these?

I mean the S model comes with Electric mirrors doesn't it? So will the covers still be exactly the same? :S

Thats' great news! Very cheap. Are they primed and ready for painting?

Same principle. If this is what I think you mean!

Pooh. Cool. The body workshop people should be able to replace them then hopefully while they do the other bits. Yes the VW dealer says they are primed and ready for painting but to find a workshop as "we neither paint nor fit the parts".

Can't wait to have my polo looking good without the ugly bumper strips! :D

I'll get back when I get it all done.

I am f*****g SENSATIONALLY HAPPY.

Everyone with a Polo E who looks at the cars on here and drools (most will drool over suspension and wheels. . .and. . Forge thingymabobs. . .I drooled over body coloured bumper strips :D) will know what it's like to have an E instead of an S or GTi. :D

Got the car back this afternoon and I'm really chuffed. I've done some before and afters just so anyone thinking of changing their bumper strips (and I advise that you do!) can see what it's like and decide if it's worth it. I got them coded to the car which is Pearl Diamond Black.

I'll do some before and afters:

Thanks to everyone in the thread who helped me out with information. :)

My next mod is . . . taking of the Donelley Brothers number plate surround. (lol!) Any idea's how to get it off? . . or is it screwed to the car for life and built that way?
