Hi,
I've noticed the steering wheel shaking just lately. It happens at any speed but is more noticable when going slow, like 30mph. Any ideas what may be wrong or what may cause this to happen?
Thanks
J
Noticed the steering wheel shaking slightly. What causes?
Re: Noticed the steering wheel shaking slightly. What causes?
Could be wheel alighment/tracking.
Can also be a result of a rim being kerbed.
Could be any of the suspension, brakes, hub.... components but do get it checked.

Thanks will do, noticed front tyre wearing more on one side

Then you do have a serious problem there. Any sort of alignment problems would cause that tyre to scrub more than the other.

i might not be, but i could be tht your front wheels arent balanced properly, which causes a vibration to the steering wheel as the fronts are connected to the steering
normally tht only happens at faster speeds, and gets worse going faster

I had that issue.
If you look at the inside of your tyres, see if they're worn.
My tyres were just being shredded.
They looked fine from the outside, but I had a closer look on the inside and it turned out I'd been driving for over a month with metal wire showing.
The tyres were just about as illegal as you can imagine.
If it's that problem, get your tracking and balancing done.
Hope that helps mate.
