problems

Post by Cam 9n3 »

The car has has had a stage one custom code map for over a year now and has been perfect, last wednesday installed a forge fmic and everything was going fine until today driving home. When the car is under load it has developed a major stammer when entering boost as if hitting a wall but when in boosting when the engine isnt under load everything is well and it pulls fine, i put it down to a boost hose blowing off but under closer inspection all were intact. Got the car linked up to vagcam and there are no faults at all.

Is this something to do with my map, does it need stage two now that i have a full miltek and forge fmic? To me this is the logical explanation, but why has this occurred 10 days after installing my intercooler when everything was perfect before hand? had the car out last night for a good hour driving and nothing was wrong! :?

The car's in for stage 2 on monday to hopefully remediate the problem!

Anyone experienced this before?

well i had the apr stage 1 wth standard setup with my milltek and induction etc, then got stage 2 installed before my trip down to forge for my front mount fit, afterwards it felt much stronger pulling and if anything did it woith less lag, but thats with apr stage 2 pre installed, where with stage 2 and the standard intercooler on the drive down there, it felt unable to unleash probably due to heat issues, hope this helps

Well the stage two didnt solve the problem. Speaking to custom code they have put it down to either my plugs or fuel pressure regulator. Ive ordered new standard plugs ,which awesome said is the best choice. Can anyone recommend a fuel pressure regulator?

I would just stick in a standard FPR mate from VW. Wouldnt make any difference going for an uprated one and save you spending pointless cash
