hi all im a hard core dupper and im currently running a vw golf mk2 with a vr6 in but soon changeing the vr6 for and r32 with the 4X4 system.... but as an extra project i wont to drop a 1.8t engine into my polo 6n... or should i go down the G40 route??
i am experienced in the electrics and the mechanics as i droped int the vr6 myself ....
but how hard is it to drop a 1.8t into a polo 6n and what neds to be done....
PLEASE HELP

Speak to tigz (that's his username on here) he's driving a 6n 1.8T, I'm sure he could tell a thing or too. He didn't build it himself but knows a fair bit.
Typical scenario though is you need donor driveshafts, custom engine mounts, stand alone engine management for the easiest route (Although hooking up OEM can be done). And a host of other stuff that goes over my head.

I Have built a Polo 6n G40 myself it on here under the Mk4 section as Polo 6n G40 as well as the for sale section.
Happy to answer your questions.
For ease i would say the G40 but the 1.8T has more tune-ability

G40 for ease, 1.8t for more power - if you get the dash and loom from a 1.8T you're laughing.
