When I was at the VW dealers, they had an offer on, a set (4 pieces) of mudflaps for £15 which I thought was pretty nifty price. They had them on the new Golf GTi which looked $hit hot. But I'm not to keen on them, so I didn't get them.

I have them on my 9n and they don't make a difference. The back and side of the car still get filthy

Also, you cant get genuine vw ones for the front of the gti due to the sideskirts, they make ones for golf gti's with the side skirt cut out, but not for the polo

yeah i wasnt going to get halfords ones anyway! OEM all the way! lol

okay im still in two minds whether they look good or not?! so if they dont stop the dirt then i guess its jus for the looks! 8) and the people that have them fitted were they easy to fit??

spotted these on the bay, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/GENUINE-VOLKSWAGE ... 2a0493138b

is this a good price for them ???
or is it best to go to the dealers?

alright matt_123.

Mudflaps on their own won't make that much of a difference as I have them fitted and got pissed off with the amount of spray I got on the back till I fitted a spoiler. Its one of the vw votex type and I have it sitting back about 5 mm more than it should be and this has reduced the amount of spray big style. Just a design flaw of the polo I am afraid. I also have the gti side skirts fitted and I have the front mud flaps fitted without any cutting just used a bit of brute force and they sit fine and stop the crap on the front of the car. Fitment is a doddle just two holes on the rear valance to drill and even at that you can just use the vw screws as they are self tappers anyway.
