Wheel Bulge??????

Just recently realised that I have a buldge on my NSF tyre. I have no idea what so ever how it got there as I have not hit any curbs or anything as of yet!!! I am actually $hitting myself incase it blows on me.

I don't know much on tyres so I was wondering if anybody could assist me on:

Where I can find the locking nut release key?
How I can remove the alloy and put it into the new tyre? (standard 6 spoke wheels), http://black-polo-9n3.skyrock.com/photo ... 6079&rev=0

I checked my spare tyre and the kit VW suppliedm but for some reason the locking nut release key doesn't seem the right fit? So I am wondering if it is somewhere else or where I can obtain one?

Will a local garage do all this for me?

Bulge in or rather on the tyre .. get it off the car asap mate just in case. Regards the locking wheel nut if this was vw that supplied the locking wheel nuts originally then go to a vw outlet and they will order you the key. should get the next day I would have thought , other than that you will need to goto a local gargage and they will removethe offending locking bolt but may damage the alloy whilst doing so.

yeah mate i had this trouble with a tire bulge but i actually hit this HORRID pothole! anyoying cos the tire had only covered 2000miles if that is it in the sidewall??
but its strange as you havent hit anything??
and the locking wheel nut should be in where the jack and all that is kept in the spare wheel well, if not id say got to your local vw and get it sorted!!
but to be safe id change the wheel and look about gettin a new tire??

I have a spare tyre and everything and where my kit is there is a little kind of key thing. But for some reason it's not the right fit, which is strange as the alloys are standard so I don't know why they haven't just give me the key. I'll give my local VW a ring today. But the thing is I can't take the wheel off, so I can't travel to get there!

Any suggestions on how likely it is to blow or how I can get it off or something?

I drove with my bulge for bout 3 weeks before i got it changed risked it on the motorway - bad i know! but shouldnt be too mate mate!
and its not a key it should be a nut with like a star sorta shape on one end??

Haha, since the VW garage was quite a long way away, I rang up my recovery service and asked them to take me down! And the guys at the dealers sorted me out!
