I'll post a picture of mine soon with 12000k HID's with projector lenses. Then you can get a comparison compared to others on what the scatter is like. Although I must admit there is a bit of scatter even with projector lenses (may just be the chrome on my Angel Eyes, but who knows) it still does not warrant people to flash me.

I would suggest you go for the mTec bulbs if you are not willing to pay up to £200 for HID's for quality bulbs.

matt_123's lights look the part! And you couldn't even tell the difference between them and HID's until you look under the bonnet! :D Quality bulbs! I would suggest these!

I ordered these sidelights? They slot into the bulb holders, however when i go to clip them back in to the light, the bulbs itself is too wide?

I bought the Philips Diamond Vision there rated at 5000k. Looks really good. Paired up with UltraLed 501 side lights. BUT there a bit big for the hole in the head lamp so i had to file the actual holder to allow them to go in as the angle is a bit tight. Got them in and they look great. They M-Tec bulbs looks awesome! How much are they?

yeh they look amazing. and in the dark are brilliant. but when ur out on the roads with other cars and streetlights a lot of the light is dissipated. its like the lights there but it hasnt got enough power. its not consistent enough.

Same with my 12000k HID's, the light ouput (measured in Lumens) is a lot lower than the output of 6000k or 8000k. My mate has 8000k on his corsa and you can easily tell the difference where as his lights up the whole floor white, and mine you can hardly see when the street lights are on. But maybe the main reason the lights on old cards and streets light are yellow because it's colour produces more light (3000k)? Or they could just be old :P Who knows!

Im looking to try out some MTEC before I decide on HID's

Are these the puppies:

Cosmos Blue
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MTEC-H7-12v-55w-C ... 56393a1f6a

Super White
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MTEC-H7-55w-Super ... 33512bffd6

Im looking for the colour that matt_123 has, would that be Cosmos Blue I guess?

55w or 100w - 100w are illegal right? but which look better?

Thanks :)
