mk 4 golf recarro seats in a 6n2 ???

probably a silly question but i was offered gti mk 4 golf seats today but i dont know if they would fit in my polo...l would someone be able to shed some loight on the matter pleeeeeeease ???

Not the best of help, but I know someone on club lupo has fit a pair into a lupo - So they most certainly must fit into a 6N2.

maybe by changing the sub frames. but not too sure. Why dont u get mk3 golf recaro's? they would fit straight in the fronts..

It has been done, and can be fitted straight in. All that is needed to be done is to grind some part of the subframe off. Some guy did it in a blue 6n2 with blue and black recaros. Looked pretty smart, but I beleive it took a while to get it right.

well mk 3's is an option but im enquiring about these cause these are being offered to me like asap for next to nothing by a friend, if i grind some of the frame off then the original seats wont go back in properly will they ?, cheers for the help

off of the subframe of the mk4 seats - you dont go grinding the car lol!

will the rear seats fit in at all in any way shape or form cause my friend said i can have all 4 seats for 60 quid lol... cheap as chips !

Try it - you may have to swap the backs, but it can be done!

think im going to get them off him not this week as i have my mot in thursday so need to pay for that and a tyre so possibly the week after... im actually excited lol. and after my mot she is getting her front end resprayed red again

ye the backs of the rear seats (they have to fit into the car, so the way to do it is to take the backs off the seats so they have the same mount points as your original seats).

ahhh i understand, im gonna make this my next project after my mot and she gets resprayed ill keep you posted and may possibly make a guide
