Wiring kit for foglights?

Post by aaronon »

Hey guys.

I'm going to put fog lights on my polo E (along with the front kit of the Japanese Sporty Polo). I can get the foglights themselves and also the light controlling unit (that switches the lights on and off). It's a straight swap for the current controller.

I can't however find the wiring kit for the fog lights (ie from the lights to the dash and from the fuse box to the controller.

Does anyone know where I'd find it?

Thanks :)

:O

I tried that eBay but I was searching in English thinking Google would translate.

Is this the wiring I need?!

I'm ecstatic . . .going to favorite it until I get a quote from an Auto Electrician to see the price he'll charge to fit me.

Thanks a lot. :) Much appreciated. :)

the only hassle you will have is the routing of the wires to the pcb board so that a light comes on the dash however depending on which light controller switch you have got you may not need it as the switch will light up when the front fogs are on.

The instructions are in German and if you require a better set pm me and I will try and get mine posted for you. They're in German however the pictures translate it for you.

Thanks for your help.

I'll be getting a car electrician to do the nasty work. . .I'll only replace the lower grilles that include fog lights and he can deal with all the fitting.

This is the part im buying. . :

Hmmm I didn't even think about the light on the Dash. I don't know how that will work. They probably didn't build that light in to non-fog light polos I guess so I'll just have to do without.

So it's not like Full Beam where a little picture comes up?

I'm ringing an auto electrician tomorrow that I've found recommended on moneysavingexpert so I'll ask him around about how much he'll sting me to install a new light switch dial and foglights. :)

Then there's the Japanese Polo Sporty grilles and wiring. . .about $360 US dollars.

I'm not sure how VAGLinks tax and if I'll get it for that price converted straight to £'s though.
