gti oil
hi, going to change the engine oil, wat oil is best for it, wat do u guys use?

I use 10W40 Castrol Magnatec which I think is a very good oil, though once I have used up the 4 bottles I have, im going to move over to fully synthetic Synta Z

I Use the same grade as Alex, 10w 40, but go with Mobil synthetic- still on special offer in halfrauds!

I use VW Syntha Silver 10w40, always have done. Hasn't caused me a problem yet

cheers, wat bout the fuchs oil u get from gsf, its 10w/40, would this b ok? i was going to use magnatec, recommened. been looking around aparently that syntha oil is hard to get hold of now?!

Fuchs oil is good, but its just an all purpose 10w40 tbf. The magnatec is great. The synta isnt hard to get hold of. Any VW dealer can supply it - its been replaced by Synta Silver which is even better as its a better blend again!
