GTI Headlights

Couldn't find any info on the forum - Isit a straight fit on 6n2's and does it use the same wiring loom?

you just need to cut a bit of the plastic out underneath to get the ballasts to fit in

why should headlight washers be compulsory with GTI headlights??

your meanna have em on any xenon headlight but some m.o.t. centres will mind some wont. i put my projector angel eyes in with my 8000k hidkit without the washer jets and it passed.

Washers are a legal requirement on OEM fitted xenon headlights HOWEVER 99% of MOT test centers dont even know this let alone check if they are there.

na u dont need washers, dont make a difference anyway, i've got the gti lights and passed mot fine, no questions asked

yeah, sorry.. you don't actually need them.
but.. It's a legal requirement with all OEM hid's.

your telling me... they are the worst... thats why the english version of pimp my ride was awfull cause we have anual m.o.t. and they are so strict our cars cant get that bad... that and the fact tim westwood is a complete tool

and it dosent help that everyother night local counsils go around salting the roads... i dont want my car to rust ! :(

oh yeah rusty cars are a big drawback in england . here in malta we import a lot of second hand cars from there and a good bunch of them has got rust problems some quite serious. salty roads are a very bad, stupid idea when concerning cars!! thank god it does not snow here in malta hehe. btw sry for hijacking the thread :mrgreen:

you may not have snow or salty roads but you have another problem over there... the sun... my car would be orange from fading by now lol

yeah the sun here is terribly harsh especially on rubber and seals, they all go crunchy if you do not look after them. but still it is easier to look after the car in a sunny environment then salty once. although living near the sea here in malta is also a little problematic due to sea rash
