Re: GTI Headlights
Washers are a legal requirement on OEM fitted xenon headlights HOWEVER 99% of MOT test centers dont even know this let alone check if they are there.
Re: GTI Headlights
na u dont need washers, dont make a difference anyway, i've got the gti lights and passed mot fine, no questions asked
Re: GTI Headlights
yeah, sorry.. you don't actually need them.
but.. It's a legal requirement with all OEM hid's.

your telling me... they are the worst... thats why the english version of pimp my ride was awfull cause we have anual m.o.t. and they are so strict our cars cant get that bad... that and the fact tim westwood is a complete tool
and it dosent help that everyother night local counsils go around salting the roads... i dont want my car to rust !
Re: GTI Headlights
oh yeah rusty cars are a big drawback in england . here in malta we import a lot of second hand cars from there and a good bunch of them has got rust problems some quite serious. salty roads are a very bad, stupid idea when concerning cars!! thank god it does not snow here in malta hehe. btw sry for hijacking the threadred6n2 wrote:and it dosent help that everyother night local counsils go around salting the roads... i dont want my car to rust !

Re: GTI Headlights
you may not have snow or salty roads but you have another problem over there... the sun... my car would be orange from fading by now lol
Re: GTI Headlights
yeah the sun here is terribly harsh especially on rubber and seals, they all go crunchy if you do not look after them. but still it is easier to look after the car in a sunny environment then salty once. although living near the sea here in malta is also a little problematic due to sea rash
