Volkswagen South Africa has launched the Polo Vivo to replace the Citi Golf as the company’s affordable ‘budget’ car offering. Based on a heavily-revised Series 4 (9N) Polo, the newcomer gets a new slimline front grille and sculpted bumpers, all bearing more than a passing resemblance to those fitted to the new fifth-generation (6R) Polo launched in 2009.

I don't know. I very much doubt it yet, as the car was only launched last week! Might be worth a try in a few months' time...

Need part numbers for wings, bonnet, lights, bumper and slam panel. Optimistic me?
Re: Volkswagen South Africa launches affordable ‘budget’ Polo
surely the wings and lights wont be different. They look pretty similar to me i think it will just be bonnet and bumper.fivetones wrote:Need part numbers for wings, bonnet, lights, bumper and slam panel. Optimistic me?

any one got any pics? link doesn't want to work!

Re: Volkswagen South Africa launches affordable ‘budget’ Polo
think fivestones mite be right, lights do look a bit diff to ours. therefore youd need the the wings bonets bumper lites etc.
Re: Volkswagen South Africa launches affordable ‘budget’ Polo

Doesn't look as though there's much of a difference to me. Its supposed to be a "budget" polo so why would they go to the costs of replacing the whole front end? I think all they've changed is the bumper and obviously the wings are slightly different because of the side repeaters but i don't see why they would change the shape/size of them.

The logic doesn't really follow. However you could be right.
I'm still gonna need the part numbers though. I have a 9N
(just some bits will be easier if they're UK)
