Broken Boot Lock

Hey guys,

I bought a '97 (R reg) 1.4cl polo last week

I've got troubles with my boot lock (non central locking). I've got to lift the handle and turn the key at the same time to try and open the boot. It's all down to pot luck if it opens or not. Sometimes the key just goes round and round or just doesn't open.

How do i get to it through the boot door once its open to look at it? or does anyone know of a way to fix it?

If you wanna look at it from the inside all you need is a screwdriver and get the screw out of the panel.
The plastic cover thing pulls off with a bit of strength then you can see it all.
Personally get a new lock even if it means a another key or get a boot pop off of ebay

Ok cheers. Any idea where the screw is to pull the plastic off? I've looked all over but can't seem to find it
